Rode
Since 1956, Italian Rode has been producing ski wax commercially, playing a significant role in many world-famous achievements in skiing up to the present day. From Franko Nones’ gold medal in the 30 km race at the 1968 Grenoble Olympics to the accomplishments we see in championships today.
The legendary skier and later radio commentator Håkon Brusveen ensured early on that we Norwegians could buy Rode Skiwax. We dare to claim that no ski race, whether national or international, takes place without Rode products being used on the skis.
The fact that old recipes, even after more than 50 years, are still among the best, speaks volumes about the thoroughness, passion, and experience the family behind Rode has poured into their work. Rode initially focused on grip wax, but has increasingly gained recognition for glide wax. In recent years, Rode has prioritized sustainability, aiming to create products with minimal environmental impact but excellent performance.
This has resulted in both the Norwegian Ski Federation and the Norwegian Biathlon Association choosing Rode as their partner. Rode is represented in nearly every store selling Nordic skiing products.
