Transport Lock for Flashlights

Transport Lock for Flashlights

Are you experiencing issues with a flashlight that won't turn on? If your flashlight blinks twice when you press the power button, it's likely that the transport lock has been activated.

This feature is designed to prevent the flashlight from being accidentally turned on. We always recommend using this feature when the flashlight is not in use to prevent unwanted incidents. Bright light produces a lot of heat, and high heat against other objects can lead to a damaged LED and, in the worst case, cause a fire.

For example, you can activate the transport lock before placing the flashlight in your bag for a longer journey. To activate the transport lock, hold down the power button for 5 seconds when the flashlight is off. It will then blink twice to signal that the transport lock is activated. To deactivate the transport lock, hold down the power button for 8 seconds when the flashlight is off. This will disable the function, allowing you to use the flashlight normally again.

Many of the new flashlights from Ledlenser have the transport lock feature as part of their programming options. This applies to the Core series, Signature series, and Work series, for both headlamps and handheld flashlights. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding the transport lock. It's a very smart feature, as long as you're aware of it.

At the top, you see a description of how to turn the transport lock on and off.
